school's out for summer!

It's hard to believe this school year is over.  Back in September, when the kids were starting their school year in Richmond Hill (and I was a tad stressed about the move), I couldn't even imagine being at the end of the school year.  I was feeling very anxious about moving the kids from all they had known to a new house, new city, new schools and new classmates.  I had confidence they would all be fine but it's still hard to go into the unknown, and I was worried for them, not about them if that makes sense.  Fast forward to the end of the year and I'm just so darn proud of these 3 kids!  They adjusted to the move incredibly well, they all made new friends, jumped back into their regular activities, tried out some new activities, and they all have amazing report cards to show off their hard work.

As for me, the school year was great as well.  I met some nice moms through the kids friends and helping out in the school.  I enjoyed walking the girls to and from school most days (along with some neighborhood kids).  Moving kids may be hard, but moving with kids makes it easier to become part of a community, I'm grateful I had the chance to meet so many new people through the schools and kids activities.
Someone is very excited to be going into grade 1!
