Santa, Santa, Santa!

The kids are all excited about Christmas coming soon but the girls have been crazy over all the prep and that includes visiting Santa...3 times!  We saw him at the mall, then went to Santaland in Macy's downtown after the parade, and finally we also found him at Santa Claus Lane at the church.  I'm pretty sure by now he knows what my girls want for Christmas!

The kids absolutely love pulling out the ornaments and finding the ones they have made over the years.

We are all enjoying getting ready for Christmas even though it means being far away from family and friends over the holidays.  We will Skype with everyone and enjoy our holiday together here in Seattle.  Things felt much more festive around the house once the tree was up and stockings hung on the mantle.  Getting the room clear for stockings was quite a feat and I was lucky to have a good friend visit who helped clear out the room and worked as designer to help me get the room put together.  It was literally full of boxes just a few weeks ago, to the point where Leah asked where would we hang the stockings and when I answered on the fireplace she said "we have a fireplace?".  Yes we do, and it looks even better with the stockings!
